Laterals are the teeth on either side of your front teeth. A significant number of people have permanent laterals that look too small for the mouth, giving the front teeth the appearance of being too big or long. In reality, if you enlarge laterals to the size they should be, a beautiful smile can be created with minimal work.

It’s especially obvious in young teens who are finishing braces, yet their smile just doesn’t look great. Dr. Toomey works with the orthodontist to optimally position the laterals, so that he has little or no tooth to remove to apply a veneer. In our office, we can create wax models to show you how it can look and even create temporary laterals with composite material. As always, we use the best labs to fabricate the final result to match your tooth shade and obtain the right size and shape for your face. The effect our results have had on many teens is immeasurable! Their confidence soars.
