Regular dental cleanings and exams are the best way to maintain your best dental health. Dental health is not just important for your mouth, but for your overall well being. Gingivitis is bacteria around your gums that can travel throughout your body and through your bloodstream. It can cause inflammation and damage to blood vessels. Patients with gingivitis are increasing their risk for a heart attack or stroke.

We make dental hygiene fun! Encouraging patients from the age of 3 years and up to be seen every 6 months, we give Dr. Toomey’s “No Cavity Club” t-shirt to kids with cavity-free exams. It’s not hard to maintain good dental health by: brushing morning and night, flossing at least 3 times each week, keeping regular dental exams and cleanings in your schedule and minimize sugar consumption (but if you enjoy a treat, brush soon after!).
